While
Pee Wee and Festus slept
I wept for loss of words
To tell my love her birds
were getting on my nerves
The
cage became my focus
Of all the useless sqwakings
In all the idle talkings
Which led to lots of walkings
My
love, she went away one day
From my incessant whining
About the pecker's dining
Upon the bird cage lining
At last
an end to chirping
That interrupted thinking
And caused some armor chinking
And led to heavy drinking
Quiet
nights at last I have
But now the serenade is missed
And so the lips that I once kissed
While Pee Wee and Festus slept
